2025: Malahide Lions celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by taking part in the Malahide village parade. The weather was good and the people of Malahide came out in large numbers to support their parade and enjoy a fun happy family day. Our Lions’ mascots were in great dancing form and entertained the crowd on our stroll through Malahide village. Malahide Lions Club used the opportunity to highlight the work undertaken by the club and the causes we have helped as well as raising the profile of the club within the general community. We were pleased with the great reception we received from the large crowd including many visitors to Malahide who were watching the parade.

AND .... In Kilpisjärvi, Finland, 350km north of the Arctic Circle in what has to be "The Most Northerly St Patrick's Day Parade" ever, Malahide Lion Áine McCabe takes on an arctic challenge with 13 incredible women with the Irish Heart Foundation on a mission to raise awareness and funds for an important cause ..... Because 'Her Heart Matters'.
Women are SIX times more likely to die from heart disease and stroke than breast cancer. However, cardiovascular disease in women remains under-researched, under-diagnosed and under-treated for too long. We need to change that. A team of women will be taking on the Arctic Challenge to raise vital funds and awareness around women's heart health - because Her Heart Matters!
2024: Malahide Lions Club once again took part in this years St Patrick’s Day parade. The weather was fantastic and the people of Malahide came out in force to support their parade. Thank you for the great reception we received.
2023: Finally! After the years of Covid spoiling the chances of a parade, this year it finally came to pass. Malahide Lions Club were delighted to be able to be part of this fabulous day. From 'Shop Malahide': It was the Malahide Business Group @SHOPMALAHIDE that had the idea of resurrecting the St Patrick’s Day Parade in Malahide. Lead by locals @AineMcCabe and @TrishMurtagh they very nearly had it over the line in 2019 when Covid hit. Today we’re thrilled to see the event attract thousands of participants and spectators just like we had foreseen for the event back in 2019. Days like this bring incredible energy and community spirit to our village and it reminds us of why it’s so special to live here. Keep making Malahide amazing and ALWAYS remember to #ShopMalahide
