LIONS COFFEE MORNING                            .

The Lions Coffee Morning has become an eagerly awaited annual event in the Lions calendar. Its primary purpose is to raise funds to cover the cost of the Senior Citizens' Christmas Party later in the year. Malahide Lawn Tennis Club very kindly makes its clubhouse available to us and we are well served with sponsorship and donations from local traders.
Because of Covid-19 we have been unable to run our coffee mornings for 2020 and 2021, but we hope to be back in action on 2022!
Typical format: Starting at ten a.m., the clubhouse quickly begins to fill and coffee, tea, buns, sandwiches, scones and pastries are in heavy demand. Thanks to our sponsors, the raffle table is a popular focal point and there seems to be almost "one for everyone in the audience".
As the clock nears 1.30 p.m. the raffle takes place and our customers begin to drift away.

We were again grateful to Java Republic Ltd. for their sponsorship of coffee and the "fixings". We are at present gathering raffle prizes and our bakers are busily planning a range of delicious goodies. If you can help with either project we would love to hear from you.

Our last event was well supported and the cake sale element was a great success. Approx. €1400 was raised which greatly reduced the expense of the Senior Citizens Christmas Party at year end.
