Friendship Benches Project 2018

As part of the Club's focus on the community, it was decided to sponsor Friendship Benches in the local primary schools.
The idea of a friendship bench is that if someone is feeling lonely in school they sit on the bench and the other children become aware of the situation and invite them to play.  This project is aimed at the younger primary school pupils. The colourful benches were designed and built by our local Mens' Sheds group in Swords, who committed to maintenance of the benches. We are truly grateful to Swords Mens' Sheds for their fantastic work.

December 2021: The Men's Shed have very kindly taken away some of the Friendship Benches for refurbishment!
