Presentation to the Shiel family

Every Lions Club relies, to some extent, on sponsorship and, here in Malahide, we have been fortunate over the years to receive constant support from the Shiel family, proprietors of the Londis Supermarket in Yellow Walls Road. In the photos below Lion President Mary McNamara, presents a plaque to the family in recognition of their contribution. Pictured are Frank and Rufina Shiel, staff members and some club members. The picture is an aerial photo taken in 1963 as the Ard Na Mara estate, at the corner of which lies the supermarket, was under construction.
