30th June: Malahide Lions Club are delighted to make a donation to our local schools to provide Sensory Equipment for National Schools in Malahide. Our local schools urgently need essential equipment. Without it our children with Autism, Dyslexia, Sensory Processing Disorder, Dyspraxia and ADHD are struggling to learn, communicate, socialise and feel included.
We aim to help to empower schools & parents to support children with sensory, learning or physical challenges so they feel welcomed to participate, learn, grow and develop in their community. Sensational Kids provide the equipment and products. On 21st March Malahide Lions Club was delighted to present a cheque to Green Fingers Allotments in Malahide. This project offers a safe space for people to meet up who are experiencing life’s difficulties. Some beautiful veg and fruit are grown and taken home at the end of the day. Experience in fence mending, painting and general tiding is gained. Most important a cup of tea and a chat on a Friday or a sea swim for the brave is encouraged!
