Handover 2024
The President's Handover took place a little earlier than usual on 18th June. Outgoing President Ger Foran handed over the chain of office to incoming President Stephen MacDonagh. Stephen will take up the reins starting on 1st July and we wish him every success in the year ahead. As one of the longest serving members we are sure the Club will continue to progress under his leadership.
Following the handover, Stephen's first official job was to induct our newest 2 members Kate Keeley and Chris Fleming. There is no doubt Kate and Chris will be a great asset to the club - welcome Kate & Chris.
Handover 2022
Our President's Handover 2022 was held on 5th July in Malahide Yacht Club. It was a night of so many highlights as we celebrated Bernie's two years as President, and the handover to Ger Foran who will do an equally fantastic job.

The night started with the highest award of Lions being bestowed on Michael Ryan. Michael joined the Club in 1995, President in 2000, Food Appeal coordinator for so many years, is always willing to help and take part in all and any activities and is one of our best attenders!

The night continued with the induction of 2 new members. Welcome Anne Watchorn and Joan Donnelly!
New member Sheila Whelan was inducted in the Grand Hotel on Monday 4th. Welcome Sheila.
Next up on the agenda was the presentation of 2 long service chevrons - a 25 year chevron for Fintan Keating and a 15 year chevron for Alfie O'Dowd.
The final 'formality' was a slide show, created by our PRO, Paula, highlighting Bernie's 2 years of dedicated work at the helm of our little club.
... and we finished the night with a sing along!
