Malahide Lions Club held a ‘Sweet Treat’ coffee morning last month to raise funds for Childhood Cancer Ireland. As well as enjoying coffee and treats, the large attendance was able to purchase raffle tickets for a hamper generously donated by Donnybrook Fair. And among those who turned up were local celebrities Stephen Rea and James Patrice.
Malahide Lions Club would like to thank the community of Malahide who so generously supported this fundraiser. A huge thanks also to manager Gordon O’Connor and his team at Donnybrook Fair, Malahide for their wonderful support and generosity, coffee, hot food and delicious sweet treats for all. Many thanks also to Brandmark Signs for supplying the posters. The morning was a huge success and raised €2,500 for the charity. Visit Childhood Cancer Ireland for more info.
You can also make a donation through our website - donate here. A special thanks to the children in Ashwood Hall who have donated €121.25, the proceeds of their fabulous cake sale! Photograph uploaded with permission from Ashwood Residents.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month – a time when we shine a light on what it means to live with and beyond childhood, adolescent and young adult cancer.
Did you know that the gold ribbon is the international symbol of childhood cancer. We #GoGold because our children are more precious than gold. Photo Gallery - click for full size image.
