Hill Walk 2025 . 
 This year's walk for St. Francis Hospice would infringe the Trade Descriptions Act if we called it a Hill Walk, because, in common with recent years, there's no hill involved, a development warmly welcomed by the participants!!

Walk Details :
Date: Sunday April 27th 2025 (the Sunday after Easter Sunday).
Time: Assemble at Malahide train station in time for the 11.02 train.
Route: Alight at Clontarf Road, take the path to East Point Business Park, follow the newly constructed Dublin Port Greenway, with its lovely views across the water towards Clontarf, to Dublin Docklands, emerging eventually at the 3Arena. Crossing the road we follow the north bank of the River  Liffey to Connolly Station returning by train to Malahide, arriving around 3pm. We finish up with drinks and refreshments at Malahide Cricket Club.

Please note, the duration will likely be longer than that stated as there will be a stop for a sandwich, photo opportunities etc.

Walkers are covered by Lions Insurance for the day.

Recommendations:
You should be in good health and used to walking.
Wear suitable clothing, warm socks and comfortable footwear (boots with ankle support preferably).
Take account of the prevailing weather conditions and dress accordingly.
Sunblock may also be required (with a bit of luck!)
Carry a backpack with liquid and a light lunch for one stop.
The organisers will carry a first aid kit but it is advisable to carry a couple of plasters and blister pads.
