Youth Exchange

Changing tomorrow today through Young People

The Lions Youth Exchange Programme began in 1961 and is a vehicle for fulfilling the first object of Lionism, 'To create and foster a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the World'.

Young people between the ages of 16 to 21 years are eligible to participate in Youth Exchange Programme. Most exchanges occur during the summer months and last between four and six weeks, some getting the opportunity to attend International Youth Camps.

The objectives of the programme are to bring young people into meaningful contact with youth and adults of other countries, to permit the sharing of ideas, ideals, and cultural viewpoints, to share the family and community life of another culture and to promote international understanding and good will throughout the world of Lionism.
