Malahide Lions Club - Youth Award

Lions Clubs International Multiple District 105 I Youth Award Competition 2006

The aim of the scheme is to promote internationally an interest in, and active support of youth activities in the Community. It is also intended to recognise, encourage and support young people who are actively involved in the welfare of the community.

The scheme selects a candidate in accordance with approved rules through various levels (Club, Regional & District finals) up Multiple District Final. A Bursary of £1,500 is awarded to the winner of the MD final.

Candidates are selected by a Lions Club who actively support and encourage the candidates in each stage of the competition.

Depending on the availability of canditates,Malahide Lions club participate in the Youth Award Competition. The club final is held in the Grand Hotel to produce a winning candidate who goes on to the regional and, if successful, to the District final.
