Malahide Lions Club organises a tennis tournament each year in the Grove Lawn Tennis Club.

On a sunny day the annual Lions Tennis tournament took place in the Grove Lawn Tennis Club on Sunday 29th June 2008. Due to bad weather the 2007 tournament was twice cancelled, but 2008 turned out to be a most enjoyable event. In all 18 men and 16 ladies competed for the prized hand painted "Lions Plates". The winners were Matt McMahon and Catherine McGowan, with Graham Cure and Phil Brannigan-Bolger the runners-up. The prizes were presented by Lion President Jimmy and his wfe Catherine and afterwards all enjoyed a barbecue in the grounds. Thanks to all who participated and organised th event which was in aid of Lions Charities and the Irish Lifeboats.
