Christmas get together 2016 It's not all work for members of our club. We try to get together once or twice during the year to relax, have a few "sherbets" and canapés and sing a few songs. If we're really lucky and get our timing right, Lion Noel Mitchell will be there with his keyboard and Lion Brian Dooley will bring his guitar. We have a few members who can (kinda) hold a tune and, even better, remember the words. Thanks to Malahide Yacht Club for their hospitality on this occasion.

St. Patrick's Day 2017 To celebrate the centenary year of Lions International, clubs from North Dublin were invited to take part in the St. Patrick's Day parade in Swords. Thankfully, the weather was kind and a good representation from Portmarnock, Howth-Sutton, Swords, Balbriggan and, of course, Malahide took part. Decked out in colourful t-shirts and other paraphernalia, we were very visible at the head of the parade. Thanks to Lion Tony McCarthy for the pictures. Click on any picture below for a larger image.
Handover 2017. On July 4th club members and friends assembled at Malahide Yacht Club as President 2016-17 Sheilagh McGirl handed over her chain of office to her successor for 2017-18 Mary McNamara. As well as the handover, we were also celebrating the fact that the island of Ireland now has its own Lion District (133) instead of being part of Multiple District 105 with Lions Clubs of the British Isles. A delicious buffet supper, supplied by Kyle's Catering, was served and afterward some Lion members treated the assembly to some songs, accompanied by Lion Noel Mitchell on keyboards, and Lion Brian Dooley on guitar. See below some pictures taken by our snapshot expert, Lion Tony Mc Carthy.
