RAFFLE AND QUIZ FOR TEMPLE STREET CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
=========================================================

At a table quiz on the 25th April in Portmarnock Sports and Leisure Centre a €20,000 target fund for the Cystic Fibrosis and Respiratory Unit in Temple Street Children's Hospital reached the halfway mark at €10,000. This was achieved through the joint efforts of Lions and PSLC.

One of the highlights of the evening was the draw for a special prize of a walk-on part for two people in RTE’s Fair City.

Our thanks go to the many people who gave us support by providing sponsorship, prizes and participation.

Lion Stephen MacDonagh was the quizmaster, so it is not surprising that those attending had a highly enjoyable, if challenging, evening!

Each year Malahide Lions Club  holds a Quiz Night as a fundraiser with all proceeds and subscriptions, going to a Charity selected by the Club.

In the past we have supported such deserving causes as The Meningitis Research Foundation, Chernobyl Children's Project, St Francis's Hospice Raheny and many others.

The event usually attracts between 50 to 60 teams and is organised by one of the best quizmasters in the country, Lion Stephen MacDonagh. Stephen and his team ensure that the event is both challenging and enjoyable with high quality questions, novelty competitions and excellent raffles, all sponsored by generous supporters for the local community. A unique feature of the Lions Quiz is category prizes which maximise participation up to the last round.
