Malahide Lions Club which was sponsored by Howth Sutton Lions Club,
was chartered in 1973 with 20 charter members.

The membership has grown steadily over the years and currently stands at 40. The Club has itself sponsored the Lions Clubs of  Balbriggan, Swords, Wexford and Portmarnock.  We meet twice a month in The Grand Hotel, Malahide, see calendar for dates.

Membership of Malahide Lions Club is by invitation, and following the procedures laid down and adopted by the club.

Who Are the Lions?

They are members of the world's largest service organisation and are people who:

• Endeavour to give something back to their communities
• Identify the needs of others and set about meeting those needs
• Enjoy working together in fellowship in order to help those less fortunate
  

Their activities and services are entirely voluntary; indeed the motto of the organisation is

"WE SERVE"

• Parents lecture in Drug Awareness
• Third World Projects and Support (Including Sight Restoring Surgery)
• ChristmasVouchers provided for the needy (local)
• Finincial Support for Childrens' Hospital
• Funds for Irish Heart Foundation
