| Our 25th Annual Golf Outing was held at The Island Golf Club on Monday 28th July, 2008, in aid of Beaumont Hospital Foundation and Lions Services & Charities. The Golf Outing has been one of our major fundraisers since the mid nineteen eighties. Its success is due to the very generous and loyal support of our Sponsors. Over the years the funds raised have utilised to assist various causes including St. Francis Hospice Raheny, St. Mary’s Hospital for Children with Learning Disability, Baldoyle, St. Ita’s Hospital, Portrane, Irish Heart Foundation and many other Lions Charities. The Island is one of Ireland’s famous links. In recognition of this it has hosted The Irish Close Championship, The Irish Ladies Close Amateur Championships, The Irish PGA Championship, The European Youths Amateur Team Championship.
